Curved Plywood Dining Chair Seat and Back
Seat and back shells pressed in one matched set so the gap and angle stay consistent across the batch.
Dining chair shells are usually specified as a set. We press the seat and back in the same tool set and cycle so the seat-to-back angle and the gap between them stay within a tight band across the whole production run, which removes a common source of mismatch on the assembly line.

Why the seat and back are pressed as a set
Shells pressed in the same cycle share the same cure state and the same tool tolerances, so the seat angle and back angle stay complementary. Mixed batches are the usual cause of a chair that rocks or rakes when assembled.
Curving the back shell
Where the back needs a lumbar curve rather than a flat panel, we press a compound shape in a matched tool. This gives a shell with genuine back support and avoids the foam pad that otherwise adds bulk and breaks down.
Stacking and storage
We can supply shells that stack without scuffing by controlling the rim radius and surface hardness. If your chairs stack, tell us the nesting pitch so we check the shell profile against it.
