Questions and answers
What is your minimum order quantity?
MOQ is set per part and depends on geometry and tooling, not on a single fixed number. For a simple press-curved slat we can quote small batches; complex curved shells carry a higher MOQ because of the tooling amortisation. We state the MOQ on each quotation.
How long does a first part take?
Prototypes typically run 7 to 15 days including tooling, and production orders 15 to 30 days from approved drawing. Tooling design is the longest pole for tight radii, so early drawing review shortens the schedule.
Who owns the bending tooling?
The tooling is made to your drawing and belongs to your programme. We keep it on file so repeat orders are reproducible; if your programme ends you can request the tooling, subject to the terms in our quotation.
What tolerances can you hold?
We hold ±0.5mm on machined dimensions after drying, and we check curvature on a template. Where your assembly has tighter requirements, tell us at quotation stage so the critical features can be identified and inspected specifically.
How do repeat orders stay consistent?
Each batch records timber species and source, moisture content at forming, steaming time, bend radius and cure schedule. Reusing the same combination plus the retained tooling keeps repeat parts interchangeable with the first run.
What are your payment and shipping terms?
Standard terms are 30% deposit with the balance against inspection before shipment. We ship FOB Foshan or Shenzhen, or CIF/DDP to your port or address, with full export packing and documentation.
Can you supply small trial orders before a full programme?
Yes. We regularly quote sample and trial batches so you can validate fit and finish before committing to a production run. This is the fastest way to de-risk a new component.
