Bent Wood Components Manufacturer in China

JiangXing Bent Wood is a bent wood components manufacturer in China, supplying OEM and ODM bent plywood and solid bent wood parts to furniture, lighting and interior brands in Europe, North America and Southeast Asia. From our 5,000 m² facility in Foshan, Guangdong, we produce curved wood components to our clients’ drawings — from a single prototype to full production runs.

What we manufacture

Our production covers the full range of curved wood elements that furniture and lighting programmes need:

  • Bent plywood components — laminated panels, chair shells, strips and veneered parts pressed to shape in moulds. Lamination reaches compound curves that solid wood cannot, and gives excellent consistency across a production run. See our bent birch plywood range.
  • Solid bent wood components — steam-bent chair frames, chair backs, arms, slats, aprons and edge bands, where continuous grain around the curve gives the part its strength.
  • Curved architectural and interior parts — arch components, panels, display elements and trim for fit-out projects.
  • Lighting components — lampshade frames, rings, diffusers and bases for luminaire brands and designers.

Why brands source bent wood components from China

The honest answer is not simply cost. Bending wood at production scale requires steam chambers, drying capacity, moulds and jigs, plus craftsmen with years of experience — capital and skill that most furniture workshops cannot justify carrying for the volume they bend in-house. A specialist bender running that equipment across many clients converts a fixed capital cost into a variable per-part cost, which is why even large European furniture brands have historically sub-contracted their bending.

What that structure buys a brand is flexibility: low minimum order sizes so a design can be tested before it is committed, fast iteration between sample and production, and access to species and finishes without holding timber stock. The corresponding risk is quality — which is why the supplier you choose matters more than the country. Look for in-house tooling, documented quality control, certified materials and a real sample process before you commit a production order.

Inside the facility

The workshop is organised around the two steps that decide whether a bent part holds its shape. Bending halls house the steam chambers and forms where blanks are plasticised and shaped; adjacent drying chambers hold the parts in their forms until the new geometry is locked — the step that cannot be compressed when a supplier promises an impossible lead time. From there, parts move to CNC machining for cutting, drilling and profiling to ±0.5 mm, then to sanding and finishing. Every stage has its own inspection, and the six-stage quality system ties them together: incoming material verification, post-bending shape checks, post-drying moisture measurement, post-machining dimensional checks, surface inspection, and a final pre-shipment audit against your specification.

How we work with overseas clients

  1. Enquiry — send drawings, CAD files, samples or photographs with target quantities.
  2. Quotation & feasibility — we confirm materials, process, tolerances and price within 24 hours, and flag anything in the design that will not bend reliably.
  3. Prototyping — first samples delivered in 7–15 days for your approval and testing.
  4. Production — bulk orders completed in 15–30 days, with inspection reports before shipment.
  5. Repeat supply — documented tooling and stable processes keep repeat runs consistent, batch after batch.

Communication is part of the specification. Enquiries are answered within a working day, feasibility feedback comes back with the quotation rather than after the deposit, and problems are flagged when they appear — not at delivery.

Quality and certifications

Every part passes a six-stage quality control covering moisture content, adhesive strength, dimensional accuracy and surface finish. FSC/PEFC-certified timber is available for programmes that require documented chain of custody — hospitality fit-outs, contract furniture tenders and retail programmes — and our facility operates under ISO 9001 quality management. Detail on the inspection stages and documentation is on our certifications page.

Getting started

The most useful first enquiry includes the drawing or sample, the target material and finish, the first-order quantity and expected annual volume, and any certification requirements. From there the path to a first production part runs: quotation, sample, approval, production. If you are comparing suppliers, run the same drawing through two or three of us and compare the quality of the questions that come back — that is usually the best predictor of the parts.

Frequently asked questions

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

We support low MOQ orders so you can validate a design before committing to volume production. Prototype runs start from a single piece; production quantities are confirmed per project after the sample is approved. This is what makes it practical to test a new component or a new material before your programme is committed.

How long does production take?

Prototypes are delivered in 7–15 days and bulk orders in 15–30 days after drawings and specifications are confirmed. Where a programme needs a faster first sample, tell us the constraint and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable — rushing the drying stage is how bent parts fail in service.

Can you manufacture from our own drawings?

Yes. We work from CAD files, technical drawings, physical samples or photographs. Our engineering team reviews the geometry, confirms the material and radius, and flags anything that will not bend reliably before quoting.

What certifications do you hold?

Our facility operates under ISO 9001 quality management, and FSC/PEFC chain-of-custody certified wood materials are available on request for programmes that require documented responsible sourcing for the EU or US market.

How do you ensure quality across a production run?

Every part passes a six-stage inspection: incoming material, post-bending shape, post-drying moisture content, post-machining dimensions, surface finish, and a final pre-shipment audit against your specification. Inspection reports accompany the shipment.

Do you ship to Europe and North America?

Yes — we ship globally, with regular programmes supplying the EU, US and Southeast Asia. Shipping terms, Incoterms and documentation are confirmed with your quotation.

What warranty do you provide?

A full warranty against warping and cracking during transportation and use, backed by a secure return and replacement policy. If a batch fails at your end, we want to know about it.
