OEM & ODM Bent Wood Manufacturing
We manufacture bent wood components to customer drawings under OEM and ODM terms. Capability includes CNC machining, press-curving, steam bending, finishing and assembly, with ISO 9001 quality management and FSC/PEFC chain-of-custody supply.
We provide OEM and ODM bent wood manufacturing for furniture, lighting and interior brands — either building to your drawings (OEM) or developing the component with you from concept to production (ODM).
What we take on
- OEM production — bent plywood and solid bent wood parts manufactured to your drawings, CAD files or samples, at your specified finish and certification level.
- ODM development — concept, feasibility, mould design, prototyping and production, for brands that need the engineering as well as the part.
- Replacement programmes — replicating existing bent parts for classic designs and contract seating refresh cycles.
- Private-label supply — finished, marked and packed parts ready for your line.
How the programme runs
- Brief — you send drawings, samples or concepts with target quantities.
- Feasibility & quote — we confirm materials, process, tolerances and price within 24 hours, flagging anything that will not bend reliably.
- Prototype — first samples in 7–15 days for your approval and testing.
- Tooling & production — bulk orders in 15–30 days, with six-stage inspection and reports before shipment.
- Repeat supply — documented tooling and stable processes keep repeat runs consistent.

What ODM development actually involves
Developing a bent component is an engineering conversation, not a purchase order. The stages that matter:
- Feasibility — the drawing is reviewed for radius, section and species. A curve that looks fine on screen may not bend; better to find that on paper than in a broken sample.
- Mould design — the form is built to the exact curve, with the steel strap geometry that keeps the tension face intact. This is where in-house tooling earns its keep.
- Prototyping — first parts are tested for fit, finish and geometry in your assembly, not just against the drawing.
- Approval — once the sample is signed off, the mould, process and inspection criteria are documented, and production repeats them.
Industries we serve
Furniture brands and contract seating manufacturers; luminaire brands and lighting designers; interior and display fabricators; and OEM programmes supplying hospitality, office, education and retail markets in Europe, North America and Southeast Asia.
Working across distances
Most of our clients have never visited the facility. The programme is designed for that: specifications in writing, feasibility feedback with the quotation, inspection reports with every shipment, and a response to enquiries within a working day. If a constraint appears — a material substitution, a schedule risk — you hear it from us first.
Programme types
Most client programmes fall into one of three patterns, and each runs differently:
- New development — you have a concept, sketch or model; we take it through feasibility, mould design, prototype and production. The bulk of our ODM work.
- Replication — you have an existing part (yours, or a competitor’s) that needs a new source. We match profile, section, dimensions and finish, and document the process for repeat supply.
- Scaling — you have a proven part made in small batches elsewhere and need volume. We build production tooling, lock the process, and supply at quantity with inspection reporting.
What we need from you to start
- Drawings or CAD files — or a physical sample, or even a sketch for early-stage concepts.
- Target material and finish, with any certification requirement (FSC/PEFC) stated up front.
- First-order quantity and expected annual volume, so tooling is sized correctly.
- The application and any test standard the part must meet.
- Your timeline — including any trade fair or collection deadline working backwards from it.
Documentation you receive
Every production shipment is accompanied by an inspection report covering the six-stage checks. Material certificates and, where required, FSC/PEFC chain-of-custody documentation are supplied with the goods. Tooling records — the form, the process parameters and the approval sample — are kept on file so a repeat order two years later produces the same part as the first batch.
How we quote
Quotations are built per part, from the drawing, and broken down so you can see what drives the number:
- Material — species, certification level and yield on your section.
- Tooling — mould and jig cost, amortised over the first order or charged separately where volumes are small.
- Process — bending or lamination, drying, CNC machining, finishing.
- Inspection and documentation — six-stage QC and the reports that come with the shipment.
- Packing and freight — export packing and the shipping terms confirmed with the order.
Where a design genuinely allows two constructions — solid bent or laminated — we quote both, so the choice is made on your numbers rather than our preference. And because we support low MOQ, the first order can be sized to validate the part rather than to fill a container.
What we do not do
We are a bending and machining specialist, not a general furniture factory. We do not upholster, we do not supply metal bases or hardware, and we do not take on programmes that need assembly beyond our process. Saying so early is how we avoid promising a part we cannot deliver well — if your programme needs those steps, we will tell you which part of it we can own.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between your OEM and ODM service?
OEM: we manufacture to your drawings and specifications. ODM: we develop the part with you — from your concept, sketch or sample through design, tooling and production. Most programmes start as ODM development and settle into OEM repeat supply.
What information do you need to quote?
Drawings or CAD files (or a physical sample), target material and finish, first-order quantity and expected annual volume, and any certification requirements. We quote within 24 hours.
Can you keep our designs confidential?
Yes. We work under confidentiality for client projects — your drawings, moulds and product data stay yours, and moulds built for your programme are not used for others.
Do you support private-label programmes?
Yes — parts can be finished, marked and packed to your specification, ready for your assembly line or drop-ship programme.
Who owns the tooling?
Moulds and jigs built for your programme remain yours. They are stored, maintained and re-used for your repeat orders, which is what keeps batch-to-batch consistency.
What happens if a batch fails inspection at our end?
Tell us and we will replace or rework under our warranty. A full warranty against warping and cracking during transportation and use is standard, and inspection reports are supplied with every shipment so problems can be traced to a stage.
Can you develop a part from just a sketch?
Yes — sketches, concepts and reference images are enough to start. We will come back with feasibility, material recommendations and a prototype plan before any tooling is committed.
